stories that move                     people together

Stories are the best way I know
to build meaningful relationships.
For over 15 years I’ve been telling
stories that engage audiences as a
playwright and inspiring newer
storytellers as a teacher.
As a playwright, my work has been
published and produced across the
country, and twice been named
a “Critics Pick” by the New York Times.
As an instructor I’ve taught classes at
universities (UCSD, UT Austin, Texas State
University) and led workshops in both
theater and business storytelling at theaters
(Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, McCarter Theater
in Princeton). In that time I’ve learned what
makes a good story work and how to build
empathy with audiences of all kinds. I've also
learned that storytelling skills are valuable
well beyond the walls of the theater which
is why I currently offer team story training,
coaching, and video production for businesses
and nonprofits at sharedstoryconsulting.com
